"I’d heard there was a marina near the Ratcliffe-on-Soar power station, and the idea of such a surreal juxtaposition - a peaceful waterside scene set against the backdrop of massive industrial structures - immediately drew me in. It felt like a collision of two completely different worlds.

I visited on a hot summer’s day in May, and as I wandered around the boats, I was struck not only by the stark visual contrast between the calm marina and the looming concrete power station, but also by the surprising sense of tranquility in the area. Despite the industrial presence, the space felt quiet and almost contemplative"
